Tekirdağ is a city in Turkey that’s part of a region historically known as East Thrace. Located on the Balkan peninsula in southeastern Europe, the city Tekirdag held a population of 204,001 people back in 2019.

With the northern coast of the Sea of Marmara only 135 kilometres (84 miles) west of Istanbul, it’s only a 2-hour drive from the main city via a new four-lane highway.
